DetaClad™ plates are used for reliable, flat, cylindrical, and custom-shaped applications, such as layered heads, pipe elements, large plates, and cylinders. Available in 260 compatible and incompatible metal combinations, DetaClad plates and cylinders form the foundation of global pressure vessels, coke drums, towers, and crystallization equipment. NobelClad transition connectors are used for the final welding of metals without mechanical fasteners, as well as for connecting electrical connections.
DetaPipe™ reactive metal pipe sections and elbows are also available for high-pressure and high-temperature systems. This new technology allows end users to take advantage of corrosion resistance and process safety. |

Disc brake pads for heavy loads and high-speed trains
Safety, load capacity, speed, comfort, environmental sustainability, and efficiency requirements for railway vehicles are constantly increasing, applying equally to freight wagons and high-speed passenger trains. As a result, newly introduced freight and high-speed rolling stock are increasingly equipped with disc brake systems and, accordingly, high-performance brake pads – JURID disc brake pads from Honeywell.
This development is specifically engineered for heavy-duty and high-speed applications, particularly when used with wheel-mounted brake discs. Honeywell offers the well-designed and innovative SINTERFLEX pad, made from a specially formulated, precision-engineered sintered material. This pad delivers consistently high friction performance and outstanding long-term heat dissipation properties. In addition to its unique material composition, the structure and innovative design define the distinctive appearance of SINTERFLEX – an innovation for the modern railway era.
One of the most refined details—often hidden from view—is the friction elements equipped with spring washers. These springs provide elasticity that compensates for mechanical and thermal cycles, ensuring consistently high braking performance. This small yet crucial feature is what makes the SINTERFLEX brake pad a perfect, high-performance braking solution—delivering excellence both in braking efficiency and in life-cycle cost (LCC).
Conventional disc brake pads with cylindrical sinter blocks tend to have fragile edges, which leads to increased wear on both the disc and the pad when used with wheel-mounted discs. This is due to the relatively small contact area between the pad and the perforated discs, which often share a similar shape and size.
The prismatic shape of SINTERFLEX disc brake pads ensures optimal contact with the brake disc, regardless of whether wheel-mounted or axle-mounted systems are used. The allowed pad overhang is maintained even when the bogie reaches the end of its suspension travel. This design prevents particle buildup and wear caused by broken or chipped edges.
Jurid SINTERFLEX pads are compatible with the standard UIC dove tail interface, meaning they fit any UIC brake pad holder, regardless of the brake system used. Honeywell offers each pad as a completely new, ready-to-install product, allowing for quick and easy replacement.
