There are many types of primary and compound fertilizers derived from nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. The extraction process leads to highly corrosive environments, necessitating the use of nickel-based alloys for production. A good example is Alloy 200/201, which exhibits excellent resistance to caustic potash and is used in fertilizer production.
