13-8Mo is a stainless steel grade containing around 13% Cr and 8% Ni produced by vacuum melting and vacuum remelting for close control of chemistry and microstructure. Medium to high strength can be achieved through precipitation hardening ageing treatments. It has good general corrosion resistance and resistance to stress corrosion cracking and when compared to other ferrous-based materials offers high level mechanical properties under severe environmental conditions.
